my life is looking up....

Shooting at the park
by Netty inwell, i know i dont post often, but still am very active reading all your posts for the last several months.
i had an incident happen yesterday that i just want to share, it scares me to death thinking about it.
i took my two year, my six year old, and a nine year old neighbor boy that my son had been playing with, to the park right down the street to play.

Older sisters and long hair- now a no-no?

she said she's been told by the brothers to cut her hair, that women her age should have short hair styles.

Field Service Book Bag

for a long time i could not look at it without feeling guilty, then a couple of times i looked at with contempt.... after awhile it mysteriously ended up in the dumpster including... the books, tracts, wt's, awakes, and return visits slips that was in it.. where is your bookbag right now?.

i do not know if this is basically done in black churches or not ( i am aa) but it makes me a little uncomfortable.
i will say that i have had feelings in these churches that i have never felt in the kh.

I know---any time natural, human feelings were shown---it was frowned on. I think we ALL enjoy hearing (or singing in) a good choir or chorus! It makes ya FEEL good! As for the "melodies".....they were a piece of work, huh? There were a few I liked, the rest ranged betweeen so-so to hideous! Remember that horrible slow one that sounded like it was from an ancient funeral procession? UGH!

I love that I can now raise my arms to God and really get involved in it. That feeling you felt is the Spirit. If you've never been able to experience the annointing like that, then man.....you are missing something great. To actually feel the prescence of God in the chair with you, in the isles and in the room. To hear His voice echoing through the sanctuary. It's an experience like no other.
